Micromentalism

They reject that great art has to be monumental. They reject that art should exist in galleries and museums. They reject that only the rich can afford good art. They are the Micromentalists.

New Junque Sculpture

In preparation for the Around The Coyote Arts Festival application deadline I had to produce fast. Luckily years of doodling during meetings, my kids' piano lessons, whenever my mind would derail, and years of collecting junk prepared me for some quick assemblages.

*Special thanx to Dewalt and Milwaukee for giving me the power when I needed it. Hey maybe they could underwrite me!! Then one might find me one day in the back of Home Depot demonstrating the latest boring tools.

alleylove and Found Objects

There is beauty in everything. Many beautiful objects are discarded. Why create new forms when they already exist. The obsolete, broken, and nonfunctional can be given a new context. A lot of modern sculpture is inaccessible in its concept, scale and form. I'm trying to work on some of those problems.
